Challenge:

A stroke allows us to gather drawings, hand-writing, annotations, and more, which all are performed with a stylus.

What digital solutions you can imagine that could enhance a stylus’ stroke?

Your challenge is to leverage Wacom's Ink Layer Language (WILL™) in an existing app (or new app) and unlock the potential of Digital Ink in Education Technology.

What can Digital Ink bring to the EdTech industry?

What can you do

with WILL™ SDK?

Wacom’s Ink Layer Language (WILL™) connects hardware, software and applications to give applications this ability and is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows:

  • Convert natural writing to digital ink data allowing for exchange and collaboration
  • Edit ink across apps, software and services
  • Enhance meaning through metadata
  • Create 3D inking applications in augmented and virtual reality environments

Handwriting promotes creativity, deeper understanding, and better information recall. It also contributes to the formative learning processes of reading, writing and spelling, the comprehension of meaning, memory, problem-solving and the use of imagination in artistic or creative tasks. Utilizing Wacom’s WILL™ technology allows you to develop applications for educational environments that combine the best features and benefits of both analog and digital practices in completely new ways. Digital Ink has the ability to empower both teachers and students to collaborate, share and elevate the learning process.
